There was no school today, so we went to the zoo. Lexi and this mongoose (which Ellie named Cindy, unless this is the one she named Sinny) were having quite a wordless conversation.
It's a tradition in our family to go bowling every Thanksgiving. We have a blast every year, although every year Chris and I are reminded of just how horrible we are at bowling. This year Vicki almost beat us both. And Ellie got the first strike. And Lexi earned the 1st piece of post-bowling pumpkin pie, lucky girl.
Here we have Lexi's rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear?", performed by her and her band of Little People. This is the Shepherd Boy (in her hand) talking to the Mighty King (in his castle warm).
This is another "Oh, no, I haven't taken any pictures yet!" picture. Hence the blurry moon-out-the-window-at-almost-midnight shot. But I didn't forget!
Vicki had a "showcase" (pretty much a very relaxed and casual mini-recital) at her piano teacher's house this morning. She played two songs, and played them well.
Oh, little ugly bug, what are you doing in my window blinds? You do realize, don't you, that when I open them you will be smushed? But I can't reach you to get you out. What a sad existence.
Seriously? There are people who want Tweets from their dog? Like, Tweets that are made up and randomly selected by a computer? Because dogs can't actually communicate in words, you know. And then, as if it's not absurd to just make up, people actually pay over $20 for something like this?
These little guys are taking over my house. I can't complain too much, though, since they don't poop or smell funny and they won't die if they get stuck behind the refrigerator.
Vicki got this game from Grandma E. for her birthday. She doesn't think Dad can play it as well as her, although she likes the fact that he bops it with his forehead.
They may not actually be poisonous (but probably they are), but that's what the kids at the girls' school call them. I just think the tree is pretty, and the blue sky is too rare to not document.
We had a game night with friends at our house and confined the girls to the upstairs. We let them watch movies in our bedroom, and this is how we found them when our friends had gone home.
