Day 254: We Have a Lot of Pears

September 11
50 half-pint jars of pear butter, 7 quarts of pear halves.  And just over one box of pears left.  Last year we got one box and it wasn't enough.  This year we got three.  Next year, it will be two.  Canning is hard work.

  1. We made a kind of sticky pear jam that comes close to tasting like honey- since Greg only has honey or promite on bread, it stands the best chance.
