Surgery went fine. He's doing pretty well now, just sore and tired. But we had to wait an extra 3.5 hours before they'd let him go home because he "wasn't meeting all the requirements for a safe discharge." Ellie was surprisingly well-behaved the entire time (although I think she could probably conduct tours of the hospital in her spare time now. We took a lot of walks.)
