Day 52: New Shoes

I've had the shoes on the left for over three years, and they've been the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I was devastated when they started to fall apart, but, happily, I managed to find some new ones that are pretty similar.
Day 49: Snow Hike

Every year we spend President's Day hiking around Trillium Lake with friends. It's a 4.5 mile hike, and all of these kids (and the dog!) did it without complaint.

I spent today sick in bed with the flu, but Ellie made sure I had company. Every time she saw me without the bear, she returned it to its rightful place in my arms.

After years of no one wanting to play any kind of team sports, these two surprised me by asking to play soccer this Spring. We got them signed up, and they're both eager to get started.
