Day 105: He's Licensed!

My pathetic attempt (although at least I spelled "congratulations" right) at a cake to celebrate that fact that, after 8 years of school and 6 years of internship and lots of blood, sweat, and tears, Chris is now officially a licensed architect!  Woohoo!

It was a beautiful day today (finally!) so we spent an extra long time playing at the school when we picked up her big sisters.  She loves the monkey bars, but she's still working on her monkey skills.

We discovered a new tasty place to eat tonight.  I had gorgonzola and butternut squash ravioli and Chris had a bacon & blue cheese burger.  Yum.

Day 95: Singing Their Hearts Out

Today Vicki got to participate in the District Honor Choir.  She and her fellow choir students spent the day with the music teacher at the high school learning all sorts of musical skills.  Then, this evening, they treated us to a fabulous concert.  Our school district may be small (and horribly underfunded - but that's a rant for another day, and, really, another blog), but we love it anyway.

Day 92: Painful Decision

We cleaned out the playroom and made the girls sort through the toys and choose some to donate.  These are the stuffed animals that, after a LOT of tears, Lexi finally decided to give up.  It was an extremely painful decision for this girl (despite the fact that most of these have been buried at the bottom of the stuffed animals bin for the last six months or so, and despite the fact that, by her count, she still has 42 stuffed animals that she didn't donate), and I'm proud of her for understanding that not all of life's choices are pleasant ones, and pushing on through her tears.

Day 91: Family Game Night

Friday night is typically family game or movie night around here.  Tonight it was both: dinner while watching Mythbusters, and a great game of Family Cranium afterward.
